Postdoctoral Teaching Scholar in Computer Science

The University of Tennessee at Martin, recognized for its unwavering commitment to excellence in undergraduate education, invites applications for a rewarding 2-year postdoctoral teaching fellowship within the Department of Computer Science, beginning January 1, 2024 or August 1, 2024

Job Duties:
  • Shoulder the responsibility of teaching three courses per semester, crafted from a diverse array of subjects pivotal to a four-year ABET accredited computer science program.
  • The position includes some time to channel your efforts into personal research initiatives, contributing fresh perspectives and innovations to the field.
  • Experience the advantage of being guided by seasoned faculty members, offering their mentorship and supportive presence.
  • The position presents an enriching environment for scholars who have graduated with their Ph.D. within the last few years and who are keen on fostering educational growth and indulging in insightful research.

Required qualification:
  • A Ph.D. in Computer Science is required; however, ABD candidates are encouraged to apply contingent on finishing by the start date.

  • Demonstrable proficiency in pedagogy and robust communication abilities are requisites.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US, meeting all legal prerequisites for employment.

Salary Range:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
